Want to learn more about Safaricom Join Postpay – the option Safaricom recently added to their *100# and *544# menus? Well, keep reading. You will learn how to change from your current Prepay tariff (Blaze or Uwezo for example) to a Post-Pay tariff – on the same line.
What is it? It is a way for Safaricom subscribers to use their lines and pay at the end of the month. The difference between Safaricom Post-Pay and your current Prepay setup is that you can just use your line the way you normally do – and then pay your bills at the end of the month – just the way you do with water or prepaid electricity (KPLC) bills.
After migrating to Postpay, you will still be able:
Note: This post contains affiliate links. When you click on something I recommend and purchase it, I will receive a commission for the sale – at no extra cost to you.
- to make calls to any network in and out of Kenya
- to send text messages to any network
- access the internet – by buying various bundles (normal data bundles with expiry or data bundles with no expiry date)
And an interesting thing, when switching for the first time, you can actually set a limit. If you are comfortable spending only Kenya Shillings 2500 per month, you can set your limit as 2500.
I think the mobile service provider will warn you when you reach this limit – so the bill you get at the end of the month doesn’t shock you.
How do I join? To join Safaricom Postpay, dial either *544# or *100# to begin the process. You will be asked to set a limit (how much you want to spend per month – and to make a deposit of said amount) and your email address. More on this below.
