Use #NiabusinessJobs hashtag to alert freelancers in Kenya on online jobs on Facebook & Twitter

I am writing this post just as way to show you how you can use Niabusiness and your social media platforms (Facebook and Twitter especially) to help you:

Reach more people with your ad listing. So, freelancers browsing ads on Niabusiness for online jobs will see it, people following you on Twitter will see it and people who you are friend with on Facebook will see it as well.

Bring people back to your ad on Niabusiness Classifieds. If you have a detailed ad on Niabusiness (which is what you are encouraged to do every time), you can share just the ad headline and have the people interested in working with you to click on the link (accompanying your tweet / Facebook update) to see more.

Note: This post contains affiliate links. When you click on something I recommend and purchase it, I will receive a commission for the sale – at no extra cost to you.

Plus it is a great way to have one centralized location to chat with anyone interested to work with you – they will have to see your ad (hosted on Niabusiness) understand it then reply to it here on Niabusiness instead of asking you for more details (via direct message, mentions or comments) on your profiles – which wastes even more time.

Get your friends’ help pushing your listing to more people – via retweets / sharing your Facebook update of your listing on Niabusiness.

So, just some tips to help you as user of this site get your ad in front of many as possible. Think of it as sharing an article you like (from your blog or another blog) with a wider audience on different social platforms. And asking them to click over to your site to read the full article.

Start by placing your ad on Niabusiness Classifieds

If you have a freelance job you want to outsource, you are always welcome to list it on Niabusiness.com for free.

Once you submit it and it is approved, you can use the tips shared in this post to get more people to see it.
But first, let’s go at the beginning. Let’s talk about the things you need to do before placing an ad on the site.

A specific task that can be outsourced. So, define the problem you have. And think about the results you want once you successfully outsource the task. Take a pen and paper (or open a note on your smartphone) and joy down whatever comes to your mind.

When you do the exercise above, you will also be thinking of the right person – the freelancer that you think can deliver on your project. Ask simple questions such as these: What must they be able to do? How much experience should they have to be able to successfully bring a task to completion? Does the person need to have any certification?

Once you answer all (or some of these questions) it will become easier to connect the problem (you have) to the person (you want to hire) that will help you achieve the results you want.

And that is one of the biggest secrets to writing detailed ads. And detailed ads saves both you and the freelancers checking your listings time.

If they can’t deliver, they will probably telly from your ad copy and not waste your time with replies.

If they can deliver, they will jump at the chance of working with you. And when you get their message, you will love reading it.

So, write your ad. Create a great headline. Something specific but concise should suffice. Niabusiness allows you to use up to 180 characters for an ad headline – so, something slightly longer than the updates you usually find on Twitter (which allows 140 characters). So, if you ad title is going to be really long, have some parts you can trim (at the end) when you will be sharing your ad on Twitter.

With Facebook, though you won’t have to concern yourself too much with keeping your ad headline under 140 characters.

Then write the description for your ad. The description will be shown under the headline (or when online freelancers browsing for jobs on Niabusiness Classifieds click on your ad title).

Use short sentences and a lot of bullet points. People love lists. Or just format your ad description however you want. As long as you provide enough to detail to help a freelancer gauge if they should reach out to you or not, you have done a good job.

If you need ideas, check some of the ad listings on the website right now. Look at the titles and the descriptions. Check listings in the various categories listed on the Classifieds page.

Then add your ad in the right category. If the job you wan to list is about content writing, add it in the Freelance Writers category. For website setup & migration tasks, go here. Here is the full list of all the categories you can post your ad to at the moment:

  • Coding, programming, app & web dev.
  • WordPress Services for Blogs & websites.
  • E-commerce, WooCommerce & online shops.

Once your ad is complete, just submit it to the site for approval.

Once it is approved, you will get an email with details about your ad. Click the link in that email to go to your ad listing page. Scroll to the bottom and tap on the Facebook and Twitter button to share your ad on these two social networking sites.

Don’t forget to use the #NiabusinessJobs in the update you share with your friends and followers. Just tap on the share button, enter the hashtag somewhere in there – at the beginning or end of your ad title – and click Share.

So, when using the hashtag, use it on a listing that is already added and approved on the site for the reasons I shared above. You don’t want to be inundated by comments you have to reply to individually before you even start gauging if the people asking are qualified to help you with your task.

Bring them to your listing on Niabusiness and have them qualify themselves before they reply to you. Save time.
