How to buy a Safaricom Giga Bundle + check balance

If you buy Safaricom data bundles you have probably come across the Giga Bundle option nestled somewhere in the *544# menu.

These bundles don’t get talked about a lot like the daily, 7 day, 30 day, 90 day and All in One Bundles.

Having purchased Giga many times, I thought I had to create a post dedicated to just the two bundles – a post to show you how to buy a Safaricom Giga Bundle.

Note: This post may contain affiliate links. When you click on something I recommend and purchase it, I will receive a commission for the sale – at no extra cost to you.

So, read on to learn more (about the bundles, how to purchase them using various USSD shortcodes and how to check your bundle balance once you make a purchase).

Would I recommend buying Giga Bundles?

Yes.

Having used the daily bundle many times, I’d tell you to go ahead and buy yourself either the 1GB or 10GB bundle.

It used to be that I either got myself an Airtel Kenya daily 2 GB data bundle at Kenya Shillings 99 or a daily 1 GB Safaricom Giga Bundle at Kenya Shillings 99 to access the internet.

I could use either of these bundles to:

  • Read articles online
  • Manage my blog – publish new articles (or edit old ones)
  • Manage my freelance writing business – look for clients, do online research and send back the completed work
  • Watch movies and TV series on Netflix, ShowMax and YouTube
  • Download files online

I’m just telling you that the bundles work fine.

Most people just go to their data bundles menu and miss the Giga Bundles option. Sometimes it is like they don’t see it.

Any time, from now on, you want to purchase a bundle from the *544# Daily Bundles or 7 Day Bundles menus, you might also want to take a look in the Giga Bundles menu.

If you still want even more options – other bundles that can act as alternatives – check your Safaricom Tunukiwa Internet Bundles menu. See the kinds of daily bundles Safaricom has in store for you.
